The history of Industrio goes back to the year 1896 when SMI - a wire drawing plant in Nuremberg - started producing aluminum wire and aluminum products.

Only 15 years later a brand-new industry started in Germany. Dornier designed the first aeroplanes which were made out of metal structures. This was when SMI started producing fasteners for these aircraft.

From the beginning in the year 1913 until today the ancestors of Industrio have been partners of the international aeronautic industry.

Since then Industrio has developed into a worldwide partner of this industry.

Industrio products range from standard hardware to specialised made-to-print customer designed hardware.

Industrio works with international partners and warehouses in Europe, USA and Asia.
